Who we’re seeking

We are looking for a B2B Business Development Intern to help grow our clientele for special projects around real-time AI messaging. This program is an apprenticeship – you will work directly with the founder of the company to make instrumental decisions. Your main efforts will be to author and execute on new/existing outbound strategies for new business opportunities.

You have a passion for and have knowledge in research, technology, marketing, and solutions-first problem solving. The ideal candidate is an out-of-the-box thinker who does not take no for an answer. You will have the business acumen, poise, openness, and professional confidence to work as part of a small and growing team.

This is a remote position with weekly in-person meetings – hours vary.

Key responsibilities

  • You will support BD by spearheading research efforts in different categories, including lead generation
  • Provide research on potential and existing clients, and the competitive landscape
  • Assist in identifying potential business opportunities
  • Assist with building and managing a sales funnel to support business objectives as identified
  • Monitor news and developments relating to, or impacting, key partners/prospects
  • Special projects as requested by management – i.e. reports and presentation decks

  • You have strong written and oral communication skills – can write emails and make phone calls at scale with confidence
  • You are excellent at learning on the fly and willing to push the limits of your abilities for the sake of hitting goals
  • You have financial and business acumen
  • You have a passion for technology and understand its utility as a solution
  • You can handle the chaotic life of a startup, and possess the creativity to make a difference every day
  • You are patient yet motivated; you’re inspired by challenging tasks yet possess the ability to tackle simple ones with precision and diligence
  • You are an excellent communicator – can communicate at all levels with internal/external management teams by phone, email and face to face
  • You know and have experience with productivity suites – Microsoft Office, Apple iWork, Google G Suite
